It has never been more important to practise self-care than right now. During lock down it will feel natural for your emotions to fluctuate making it seem comforting to sit in your pj’s and dressing gown all day, or maybe not even bother getting out of bed.
See the thing is, the mind doesn’t like to feel unproductive and lazy. It does not release feel good hormones if we let ourselves become lazy and unhealthy.
Even if you are home alone and not going anywhere, it is important that you still pamper yourself for you, no one else. This way you will be behaving as your highest self, vibrating higher and in return manifesting positive things. When we care for ourselves we attract better.
With that said here are some simple, self-care, pamper tips that you can do to keep yourself feeling fabulous.
This is the perfect time for you to work on projects that you never had time for before. What have you always wanted to do but blamed lack of time for not achieving it? Do you like paining, reading? Did you want to learn the piano? It is time to finally pick up that guitar you spent so much money on, and get practising.
We are so fortunate to be living in a world where anything we could possibly need information on it right at our finger tips. Work-outs, music lessons, community chats. Anything that you want to learn right now can be learnt online while you have the time. Here are a few things that I have enjoyed making now that I have the time.
So just because you aren’t heading out or seeing people. Why should the shaving, tanning, nail paining and doing your hair stop? Having a break from make-up won’t do your skin any damage so that one you can leave unless it makes you feel unmotivated, or unhappy without it. Set up your phone on a self timer and give yourself something to put your make-up on for. Maybe a self-made Instagram photo shoot, gives you some cute photos to upload, plus you don’t feel that applying make up and looking your best was wasted.
Whatever it is, make sure you are still exercising, journaling, and pampering yourself. Let’s keep our mental health strong regardless of what is going on in the world right now.
