With some of these masks containing natural fruit acids, tingling may occur on application. If you do not like the sensation please remove, otherwise the tingling will increase then decrease and will stop after removing the masks.
These masks are vegan bar honey but you can replace this for agave nectar. Easy to make, and perfect while we are stuck at home during a global pandemic lock down to feel pampered. Look after your skin naturally with these quick and easy face masks.
1. Honey & Brown Sugar Scrub
- 2 Tbsp – Honey or Agave nectar for vegan version.
- 1-2 – Tbsp Brown Sugar
Simply mix these two ingredients together for a natural, oil balancing face scrub mask.
According to Style Caster – The antibacterial and antiseptic honey gently absorbs oil while its humectant properties keep your skin moisturized. And, when combined with gently exfoliating brown sugar, you’ve got a freakishly good mask that’s guaranteed to keep oil at bay.
2. Strawberry Salicylic Mask
- 4 strawberries
- 1 tsp. of coconut oil melted (replace with water if you prefer oil free)
- ¼ tsp. of white kaolin clay.
Mash the four strawberries together before stirring in the coconut oil and kaolin clay (can be ordered from Amazon). Once combined, make sure your skin is clean of any make-up, and apply the paste onto your face and neck. Leave on for 10-15 minutes and then rinse off with cool water.
This recipe was taken from Miss Organics. Strawberries contain salicylic acid which cleans deep into pores, perfect for oily skin. Adding kaolin clay is perfect for oily skin as it draws out your impurities and protects your skin with its anti-bacterial properties.
